Strategic Guidance
R1 clients will be required to register for the Strategic Guidance service, which will be offered at a flat rate of 90,000 JPY. This service will last for 12 months from the time that the applicant is officially accepted as an R1 client.

Essay Counseling
Essay Counseling services will be offered at a rate of 20,000 JPY per 50-minute "consultation hour." (A 10-minute break is taken after each consultation hour for a mental/physical rest in order to help maintain quality control.)

Interview Training

Type “A” – Comprehensive
Comprehensive Interview Training is recommended for all clients when they first begin to prepare for graduate school interviews. It includes a 30-minute mock interview followed by the preparation of an Interview Evaluation document (requiring 60-minutes to develop) which provides the client with detailed feedback on their performance and valuable suggestions about how to improve as an interviewee.
Type “A” Interview Training will be offered at a rate of 20,000 JPY per 90-minute session.

Type “B” – Intensive
Intensive Interview Training is designed for the graduate school applicant who has already mastered the fundamentals of interviewing and simply wants to practice with a professional native English-speaking interviewer. It includes a 50-minute mock interview during which clients receive instant verbal feedback after answering each of the interviewer’s questions in a Question-Answer-Feedback format.
Type “B” Interview Training will be offered at a rate of 10,000 JPY per 50-minute session.

Type “C” – Creative
Creative Interview Training focuses on the creation of appropriate and original questions (i.e. “Killer Questions”) for clients to ask their interviewers. It includes 50-minutes which can be used to develop written Killer Questions and, if time permits, responses to hypothetical answers presented by one’s mock interviewer. Type “C” Interview Training will be offered at a rate of 20,000 JPY per 50-minute session.

Payment Method
Payments must be made using the secure online payment service “PayPal” ( https://www.paypal.com/ ). PayPal is an elegant system for making and receiving secure, instantaneous payments through Internet e-mail. PayPal has over 100 million account members worldwide and is available in 55 countries and regions. PayPal was acquired by eBay Inc. in October 2002 and is the preferred payment method on ebay.com.

Cancellation Policy
If necessary, requests to reschedule appointments should be made at least 24 hours in advance of the originally scheduled appointment time. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours prior to an appointment will be granted at R1’s discretion. R1 will not provide refunds for fees once they have been paid. Nor will it issue refunds for work that has already been performed.
