Absolutely not! R1 requires all of its clients to prepare their own essay drafts. However, we
will advise you about how to determine appropriate topics, develop outlines, and prepare competitive
essays.

How can
you help your clients to differentiate themselves from other applicants?
Although everyone is an individual, it is sometimes
challenging to differentiate between clients who come from similar backgrounds. Therefore, to
make such differentiation easier, R1 limits the number of clients that it accepts from specific
industries and companies. Therefore, it's best to apply early to secure R1's support.

What's
the difference between Online and Face-to-Face counseling?
Although some people prefer to have face-to-face meetings with their Counselor so that they can
practice their English, the fact is that most applicants are too busy with their jobs, personal
lives, and test preparation activities to waste their time commuting to a prep school where
their presence isn't really needed anyway. This, combined with the fact that online counseling
is more efficient and cost-effective, are some of the main reasons why online admissions consulting
has become increasingly popular.

Why is
online counseling more efficient than Face-to-Face counseling?
Since applicants do not always understand 100% of what their Counselors say in English, they
often miss some important advice or perhaps misunderstand their homework assignment. Remember,
in the graduate school application process, you cannot afford to waste any time. With online
counseling, all instructions are given in text format and applicants can refer to those instructions
at any time to avoid any misunderstanding. Moreover, with the introduction of free Internet
telephone services (i.e. Skype), clients can speak to their Counselors at any time during their
appointments if they desire real-time verbal discussion. Online counseling saves time and money.

Why don't
you offer graduate school application packages at fixed prices like some of your competitors?
R1 does not offer fixed price "package deals" for its admissions consulting services
because we believe that such arrangements are inefficient and ineffective. Package deals motivate
Counselors to take short-cuts to maximize their profits. Similarly, clients are motivated to
re-edit their essays and/or personal statements many times to get the most for their money. The
end result of such arrangements is a sense of dissatisfaction for both the Counselor and the
client. As fixed price application packages do not lead to optimal results, R1 does not to offer
them.

Aren't your
services expensive compared to competitive services?
R1 employs highly-qualified and experienced professionals who work together as a team. We are
not “English Teachers.” Although the cost of R1's services is not inexpensive, it
is an excellent investment in your future success. To use an analogy, if you needed heart surgery,
would you look for the least expensive or the best cardiac surgeon available? Invest in your
future with R1.

Where are your
offices located?
R1 was established in Victoria, Canada. Consequently, R1 clients located outside of Canada
need not pay any sales/consumption tax.

How many clients
will R1 accept?
R1 will assist only a limited number of clients at any one time in order to maintain the highest
quality standards and to ensure that clients will maximize their chances for admission. Applications
from graduate school applicants interested in joining R1’s class will be reviewed on a “rolling” basis
(i.e. in the order in which they are received) until the class is full. Therefore, prospective
clients are advised to apply to R1 at their earliest convenience in order to secure its professional
admissions consulting services.
