Introduction

If you are reading this testimonial, you are likely someone with an interest in applying to an MBA program. The MBA admissions process involves many hurdles, beginning with TOEFL and GMAT score preparation, followed by application materials such as essays, and finally interviews. Throughout this entire process—one that is often accompanied by anxiety and uncertainty when undertaken alone—I received tremendous support from Mr. Round.

I would broadly summarize the reasons I recommend Mr. Round into the following three points.

1. Prompt and meticulous responses to questions that arise throughout the application process

With decades of experience guiding applicants through the MBA admissions process, Mr. Round is able to respond quickly and thoughtfully to virtually any question. This significantly eased the stress that tends to accompany the application journey. Moreover, as everything was a first-time experience and required coordination with a demanding work schedule, Mr. Round’s ability to flexibly guide me in managing the overall application timeline—something that is easy to neglect—was particularly invaluable.

2. Outstanding personal character and strong connections with kind and supportive former clients

Former clients who have experienced the level of support described in (1) share Mr. Round’s excellent character and are exceptionally generous toward new applicants. Through Mr. Round, I was introduced to several alumni who, despite their busy schedules, took the time to meet with me during campus visits. They also offered advice during my essay and interview preparation, which proved to be an enormous help.

3. An exceptional listener who draws out the right topics at the right time

Once TOEFL and GMAT preparation is complete, the focus shifts to essays and interviews—processes that, unlike standardized tests, have no single correct answer. Applicants must deeply reflect on how they have lived their lives so far and how they envision their future. Although I had formed my own ideas about my future before beginning the MBA application process, once I actually started writing essays, I became acutely aware of how vague and narrow my thinking had been, and I often found myself stuck. Whenever I shared these concerns with Mr. Round, he consistently listened attentively, then skillfully selected and refined the scattered ideas I expressed, offering thoughtful guidance. While the final content must ultimately come from the applicant, I believe that without Mr. Round’s ability to draw out, organize, and refine my thoughts, I would not have arrived at the level of self-discovery—or the essays and interviews—I could truly be satisfied with.

Deeply grateful

In brief, the above are the reasons why I am deeply grateful for the support I received from Mr. Round over the course of approximately one year, and why I strongly recommend his services to those considering an MBA. I hope this testimonial will be of some help as you prepare for your own applications. If, during your application process, you have an interest in HBS, please feel free to reach out. I sincerely wish all of you the very best of success in your applications.
