R1’s work is delivered through selective advisory engagements, rather than standalone offerings. Each engagement begins with intake, evaluation, and the establishment of a strategic advisory framework.

Strategic Guidance forms the foundation of every engagement and informs all downstream work. Executional Support is provided where appropriate and applied differently across academic and professional contexts, while the standards of judgment, preparation, and discipline remain consistent.

Strategic Guidance

Strategic Guidance addresses the core decisions that shape outcomes over time:

what to pursue
in what order
when to act
why particular paths align with long-term goals

This guidance frames all downstream work and evolves as circumstances change. It is the primary value of an R1 engagement and is established at the outset of every advisory relationship.

Executional Support

Executional Support strengthens communication under evaluation and ensures alignment between strategy and presentation.

At R1, Executional Support is always grounded in Strategic Guidance and tailored to the individual within the context of an advisory engagement. It is not template-driven and is never offered as a standalone service.

The scope and timing of Executional Support are determined through recommendation and mutual agreement as the engagement progresses.
