The process of gaining admission to my first-choice school, the Kellogg School of Management, was extremely challenging, but without my encounter with Round One, I would not have been able to achieve such an outstanding result.
My introduction to Round One dates back to a time when I was completely in the dark about what the MBA application process truly entailed, and a senior colleague advised me, “Why don’t you contact this person?” The rules of the game for Japanese entrance exams and Western MBA admissions are fundamentally different. MBA admissions are far more diverse and multi-layered, and precisely for that reason, they involve a much higher degree of uncertainty. At the time, I held a rather naïve understanding of the process, but Mr. Round graciously explained that the rules themselves were different and clearly outlined the key factors required to succeed.

This remains a very fond memory.
While the overall application process was often demanding and stressful, both counselors consistently encouraged me and helped me maintain a positive mindset, ultimately leading to the best possible outcome.
