Enrolled in a joint degree program

Thanks to Mr. Round, I was admitted not only to my chosen program at Chicago Booth (MBA/MPCS Joint Degree Program), but also to Wharton and Tuck.

Comprehensive support

In order to achieve results in the highly competitive MBA application process, I believe it is essential to receive comprehensive support—including essay and interview training—from a strong counselor. Having completed the process, I feel that the key strengths of Round One are as follows.

Meticulous attention to detail

True to its policy of dedicating ample time to each individual applicant, every aspect of the support was extremely thorough. For example, during interview preparation, I received detailed feedback sheets that carefully documented my responses, areas for improvement, and evaluation points, which were incredibly helpful. In addition, whenever I emailed Mr. Round with a question, I always received a thoughtful and supportive response on the same day.

Services customized for Japanese applicants

Round One’s services are largely specialized for Japanese applicants, and I had the strong impression that they have established clear know-how regarding “how Japanese candidates should market themselves to schools.” For instance, during essay development, I was given brainstorming ideas using examples of Japanese applicants from the same industry as mine (finance). This is the kind of support that only Mr. Round—who is deeply familiar with Japan—can provide.

Personal character

Above all, the strength I would most like to emphasize is the character of Mr. Round and Ms. Round. In the highly stressful application process, being able to engage comfortably and positively with one’s counselor on a daily basis is extremely important. Mr. Round also places great value on Round One alumni, and even during the application process, I was often able to benefit from this strong network (for example, by receiving advice from alumni of my target schools). I believe that the continuation of such a human network is possible only because of the trust and respect both counselors inspire.

A guiding light

Round One’s support will surely serve as a guiding light. I sincerely wish everyone the very best of luck in their applications.
