Despite having virtually none of the English ability required for MBA applications, I applied on a whim to my company-sponsored study-abroad program and was selected (or perhaps “ended up being selected”). As a result, I was in a state where I truly understood nothing and could do nothing. On top of that, I faced the handicap of having to travel three and a half hours one way to sit for the TOEFL and GMAT exams. Even so, although the rankings of the schools were not particularly high, I believe that receiving offers of admission from four schools was entirely due to Round One’s services. Without the résumé, essay, and interview preparation provided by Round One at the appropriate times, I do not think I could have produced applications—either in structure or content—that would capture the interest of admissions committees.
